We are honest and dependable.
We have always loved our animals dearly. In fact taking them exploring with us in the car, on adventures has very much been part of our lifestyle.
As former home owners we understand how important it is to have someone look after your house that is competent and keen. We have loved many dogs and cats in our family over the years.
Some of the photos above include dogs we use to own; Ruka, a Rhodesian Ridgeback and Asanga, a Ridgeback / Labrador cross. Sadly both Ruka and Asanga passed on in 2019/2020. We miss them hugely.
Adu retired a few years ago and we moved to a rural area on a 5 ha smallholding. Adu started a handyman business and was involved in a wide variety of jobs. He has always done all of his own DIY and can handle a household emergency. Adu also has plenty of experience looking after a pool, doing ph checks if necessary and adding chlorine.
We are both active and are non smokers. Adu loves the hobby of Geocaching and this helps him to keep fit exploring new towns and places.
We understand the need for a routine for pets and would stick carefully to your schedule and instructions.
Adu speaks basic French and intermediate German and Dutch. We have excellent communication skills and will always endeavour to keep you informed.
We both are double Phizer vaccinated and have had our boosters.

3 week housesit in France over December 2019 for Hazel and Dave. We looked after four Springer Spaniels, Ella, Rosie, Blossom and Paddy.
Communications with Ashley and family were very good, we were updated in a timely fashion in what was not an ideal sit for Ashley, Adu and family due to circumstances outside their control ( French national strikes disrupting their travel arrangements). The house and the dogs were all well looked after, we had a very nice South African meal on our return, and we would certainly have the family back to sit for us again. We would recommend them to others.
3 week housesit in October 2021 for Jane and Andy. We looked after 3 dogs Alfie, Harry and Archie.
A huge thank you to Ashley and Adu for their care of our 3 dogs and home. The daily updates and photos of walkies were a bonus and the dogs obviously happy. We have no hesitation in asking them to return and hope they will do so.

1 week housesit in November 2021, with young cats Jackie and Mira, who bought us a “mouse” present every day!
This was the first time I used trusted housesitters and it was a great experience. Ashley and Adu are such a lovely couple. I trusted them immediately and knew that they would take good care of my house and my cats. It was the first time I left my cats alone since I got them and I was a bit nervous about that. But Ashley and Adu love animals and animals love them. They did send me pictures almost every day and that made me really happy. I can absolutely recommend them to any house owners as trustworthy and lovely house sitters. I hope that they will come back in the near future to do another sitting in my house.
10 day housesit in late October 2021 with Amy and Sven. We looked after boxer Yoshi.
Ashley and Adu were wonderful housesitters and took good care of our girl. They put up with our crazy schedule of leaving, coming home and leaving again and even surprised us with a nice meal when we came home. They participated in family game time before we left and took our four-legged friend on a daily walk, even in our terrible weather. They communicated well both prior and during the stay.

Over 2 week housesit in December / January 2022, with 5-year old dogs Hector and Maple in the lovely city of Trier.

1 week housesit in November 2021, with full of energy Django and shyer Jeannie.
We lucked into finding Ashley & her husband. They fit our needs perfectly.
She was very responsive sending daily updates & photographs of our happy pups. Both were very knowledgeable and relaxed with our dogs. They walked the dogs every day as requested.
Our dogs were very well adjusted & happy to be around them when we returned. The house looked better upon returning than when we left. They were super tidy. In addition to being great with the dogs they were lovely to be with! We would certainly always welcome them back for a sit

2 week housesit in January with three dogs, an old German shepherd Shuna, a mid sized cutie Isla and a flat coated retriever Angus.
Lovely, very friendly, relaxed couple. Had pictures and updates every day which was appreciated alot. They stayed with us as guests for 3 days before we left (change in travel plans) so got to know them well and Dom cooked some lovely dinners for us. They cooked a nice curry for us on return. Dogs were brushed and walked every day.

3 week housesit in early November 2021, with three French Bulldogs all with lots of character; Mona Lisa, Georgie and Cutty.
We had the pleasure of having Ashley and Adu Pet and Housesit for us while we were away for 2 weeks. I got daily reports and photos of my 3 French Bulldogs and their various activities.
They were able to handle my 2 male dogs that have a love-hate relationship, give them their various supplements and medications, also give them their daily grooming. They took them on daily walks in nasty weather, I give them a ton of credit for that. We came home to happy dogs, a house the same way we left it and they made us a really nice dinner.
I highly recommend them to handle any situations. I hope some time they will come back and sit for us again, we would love to have them.

5 week housesit in February/March with loving Doberman Misha and two cats Claude and Rosie.
Ashley and Adu looked after our house and our Doberman Misha and Rosie and Claude the cats. They did a fantastic job and we arrived back after 5 weeks to three very happy well loved animals, the house was lovely and clean and they had made us a delicious dinner. Would recommend them to anyone.
